Why me

I am an independent consultant working to provide your organization with outstanding service that is evidence-based and experience-driven. Operating independently keeps my overhead low and my services personalized.

Most of my public health career focused on collaborating with healthcare settings to prevent the transmission of infections within healthcare. Little did anyone know how applicable those skills would be to each and every setting when COVID-19 resulted in the shut down and reopening of our society.

The expertise I gained working in public health and healthcare settings is now applicable everywhere. Medical Epidemiology Consulting is not just a business to respond to COVID-19, but supports any setting in the prevention and response to any infectious disease.

I can help your organization navigate COVID-19 and beyond.

Epidemiology is the scientific field that studies the frequency, patterns, causes, and risk factors of diseases and health-related events in a population. It is the scientific methodology for looking at the health of a population. A medical epidemiologist is a person who studies epidemiology or applies epidemiological methods and is also a physician.

Fees are based on the nature of the organization (e.g., small nonprofit, government, large corporation), the public health importance and urgency of the work, the resources of the client, and the type of work involved. A percentage of the fees (5%) are donated to non-profit organizations. I am open to donating time to low-resource clients.
